§ Mr. Gwynoro Jonesasked the Secretary of State for Employment how many 270W people have been made redundant in Carmarthenshire since 18th June, 1970, according to the notification received by his Department; and how many firms were involved.
§ Mr. Bryan:Not all redundancies are notified to my Department and it is not the practice to keep records of every minor redundancy. However, our records show that in the period 18th June, 1970 to 31st October, 1971 redundancies in Carmarthenshire involving about 1,730 workpeople in 27 firms were notified to my Department.
