§ Mr. Chichester-Clarkasked the Minister of State for Defence if he will make a statement about the flying over a British military installation at Omagh, County Tyrone, at 08.50 on Tuesday, 2nd November, by an aircraft belonging to the Army of the Republic of Ireland.
§ Mr. G. Johnson SmithAt about 9 a.m. an Alouette helicopter similar to those used by the Army of the Republic of Ireland was seen heading north-west over Omagh at a height of approximately 1,000 ft. This helicopter may have been engaged in the transfer of hospital patients. Such flights have taken place in the past and are not regarded as having any security significance.
