HC Deb 11 November 1971 vol 825 c259W
Mr. Arthur Lewis

asked the Attorney-General whether he will take action to ensure that when Members of Parliament and the general public write to his Department they are not kept waiting up to eight weeks for replies on straight-forward matters.

The Attorney-General: I am not aware of any unreasonable delays by my Department in answering correspondence. If the hon. Member refers to me a case in which there has been that degree of delay, I will investigate the reasons for it.
