§ Mr. PeytonIt is our policy to seek satisfactory arrangements for the harmonisation of transport regulations with the European Community. The Commission's draft directive on vehicle weights and dimensions is under discussion in the Community. We have made our views known. We are seeking an adequate transitional period before applying, in the United Kingdom, the regulation on drivers' hours.
