§ Mr. Clinton Davisasked the Attorney General if he will seek to amend Section 77(1) of the Magistrates' Courts Act, 1952, in order to dispense with the requirement for an application to be made by a party to proceedings in a magistrates' court for a witness summons to be issued, and instead to enable a subpoena or witness summons to issue on payment of a fee, thereby bringing the procedure in line with that prevailing in civil litigation.
