Mr. Hugh Jenkinsasked the Secretary of State for Social Services whether, in view of the difficulty being experienced by public health inspectors in examining food imported in containers, he will issue a further circular to local authorities advising them of the need to increase the number of inspectors employed at ports of entry on this work.
§ Mr. AlisonProblems of enforcement of the relevant regulations are not necessarily to be solved by employing more staff, but the issue of further advice to local authorities is at present under consideration.
