§ Mr. Kilfedderasked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs whether he will make approaches to the Government of the Republic of Eire with a view to securing the withdrawal of the claim by that country to exercise jurisdiction over a part of the territory of the United Kingdom.
§ Mr. Anthony RoyleNo. Her Majesty's Government have made it clear on many occasions that they do not accept the claim in the Constitution of the Irish Republic to territory, or jurisdiction over territory, forming part of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.
