HC Deb 25 May 1971 vol 818 cc91-2W
71. Mr. Rankin

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland if he will state the nature of the objections lodged against his proposals to introduce cost-related prescription charges by the general practitioners in the National Health Service in Scotland; and what reply he has sent.

Mr. Gordon Campbell

The objections were on clinical grounds. My right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for Social Services and my hon. Friend the Under-Secretary of State for Health and Education met representatives of the doctors and dentists last week to discuss them.
