§ Mr. Kinnockasked the Secretary of State for Social Services what is his policy in regard to the provision of vasectomy operations in English hospitals by the National Health Service in order to protect the health of patients or patients' wives.
§ Mr. AlisonVasectomy may be performed under the National Health Service when it is in the interest of the health of husband or wife. The decision to perform the operation in a particular case is a matter for the surgeon concerned.
