§ Mr. AmeryThe lease of Euston Tower was taken in May, 1970. Partitioning and adaptation work should be completed in August, 1971. Occupation will begin in June.
It is not the policy of Her Majesty's Government to reveal rents paid for individual buildings. This is confidential between the two parties concerned. Account was however taken of the need to partition and adapt the building for occupation in the rental negotiations.
Her Majesty's Government do not pay rates but a contribution in lieu is paid by the Rating of Government Property Department of the Treasury. No contribution has as yet been paid on this building.
