§ 5. Mr. Arthur Lewisasked the Minister of Posts and Telecommunications whether, in his Ministerial responsibilities concerning help which he should give to Members of Parliament, he will take whatever action may be open to him to ensure that his letters are delivered to Members in periods less than seven days from the date of leaving his office at Waterloo Bridge House and arriving at the House of Commons; and if he will arrange, where necessary, for Members personally to collect their mail and thus save time now taken for receipt of his correspondence.
§ Mr. ChatawayLetters for Members are despatched either by hand or by first-class letter post to the House of Commons, so I do not think it necessary to make arrangements for Members to collect correspondence from my Department.
