§ Mr. Arthur Lewisasked the Secretary of State for the Environment whether he is aware that each of the countries of the European Economic Community spend more per person on housing than does Great Britain; whether he will publish details in the OFFICIAL REPORT to 111W show to what extent housing costs per person in Great Britain would have to rise to match the countries of the Six; and whether he will consider doing this in order to facilitate Great Britain's entry into the European Economic Community.
§ Mr. ChannonI do not find it possible to make reliable comparisons of total expenditure on housing between Britain and the E.E.C. countries, or to draw from any such comparison any valid conclusions.
