§ Mr. Fauldsasked the Secretary of State for the Environment whether, in view of the fact that a large proportion of the collections of the national museums and art galleries are consigned to permanent storage, he will examine the possibility of using Somerset House for their display; and if he will consider arrangements for the dispersal of its present contents and staffs to more functional quarters elsewhere.
§ Mr. AmeryI sympathise with the hon. Member's suggestion but the London headquarter office position is such that even with a continued dispersal programme I cannot release this building for other use.
