§ Mr. Joplingasked the Minister of State for Defence whether he has completed his review of the future programme for the Red Arrow Demonstration Team.
§ Mr. LambtonYes. After a full review of all circumstances it has been decided that the Red Arrows will take part as planned during this year's season of displays at home and overseas. In view of the need to absorb new members into the team, a shorter season than usual has been available for training. For the time being, therefore, the formation will operate only seven aircraft in place of the usual nine, and sychronised display manoeuvres will be replaced by individual aerobatics.
