§ Mr. Sillarsasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department how many probationer firemen in England and Wales have been dismissed from the service, and how many have been required to resign for disciplinary reasons, in each year, during the period 1965 to 1970.
Mr. SharpiesThe figures of those dismissed for each of the years from 1965 to 1970 were respectively 39, 40, 48, 38, 30 and 31. There was no instance of requirement to resign for disciplinary reasons.
