§ Mr. Deakinsasked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food why the future production grants to the United Kingdom hill farmers is a matter of negotiation with the European Economic Community, in view of the fact that there is no specific European Economic Community prohibition of any present United Kingdom aids to hill farmers.
§ Mr. Anthony StodartOur aim is to have discussions with the European Community on the problems of the hills, as it would be useful to exchange views on the subject of aid for difficult areas, which is a type of expenditure which may be financed from the Community Agricultural Fund as well as by individual member countries.
