§ Mr. Stallardasked the Secretary of State for Education and Science what special regard has been paid to schools in the London area, in the allocation of money for building, etc., in view of the greater cost of land and building.
§ Mr. van StraubenzeeThe cost of land is not treated as a part of the school building programme and the share of the programme allocated to London is not affected by the generally higher land values in the area. Normal cost limits apply to building work in London, but, as in other areas, allowances are made in individual cases where special difficulties arise.
