§ Mr. Sorefasked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs whether he will take steps to ensure that when moneys are transmitted abroad for social purposes guarantees are provided that these funds will be utilised exclusively for social services.
§ Mr. KershawIt would be prudent for societies and individuals transmitting money abroad for social purposes to secure adequate assurances as to its use. As far as Her Majesty's Government are concerned, such transfers are subject to exchange control legislation.
