§ Mr. Alec Jonesasked the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry if he will make a statement, giving details of the present industrial developments taking place at Llantrisant, and of those developers who have recently intimated their intention to cancel their proposed developments.
§ Mr. Anthony GrantIn the area covered by the Pontypridd group of employment exchanges, which includes Llantrisant, 11 new manufacturing projects are proceeding. These have already given rise to 300 jobs and are estimated by the companies concerned to yield another 1,200 jobs over the next four years. I am unaware of any recent cancellation of projects for which industrial development certificates had been issued.
