§ Mr. PeytonThe French Minister of Transport visited London on 22nd March for talks on the Channel Tunnel project with representatives of the international private group. I am circulating the text of the communiqué in the OFFICIAL REPORT following my answer to Oral Question No. 5 today.
§ Mr. Costainasked the Secretary of State for the Environment, in view of the fact that the lack of decision in regard to the Channel Tunnel proposals is impeding development in the Folkestone and Hythe area, if he will now make a statement as to when a final decision on this project may be expected.
