§ Mr. van StraubenzeeThe Department does not maintain an index of school building costs for inner London. The official index of the cost of new construction in Great Britain increased by 24 per cent. in the 5-year period up to October, 1970. Cost limits for school building 303W increased by 19.5 per cent. in the same period; a further 13 per cent. takes effect from 1st April.
