§ Mr. Farrasked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food whether it is his policy to renew the pig guarantee in the event of the operation of the middle band resulting in a cut in the guarantee paid.
§ Mr. PriorThe flexible guarantee arrangements must be allowed to operate as intended to regulate production, but, as announced in the White Paper (Cmnd. 4623) the Government will review the decision not to make any further change in the middle band later in the year if circumstances make this appropriate.
