§ Mr. SharplesApproval has so far been given for 35 capital projects in Liverpool, Bootle and Birkenhead, costing in total some £648,000 plus in most cases associated running expenses for five years; and for 14 non-capital projects costing in total £38,500 annually. In addition, approval has been given for a further 12 non-capital projects to be financed for one year only, at a total cost of £45,000. Many of these projects are now in progress.
