CarrFollowing meetings at my Department on 3rd and 4th March, agreement was reached between the Post Office and the Union of Post Office Workers to appoint a Committee of Settlement to resolve the dispute. A ballot of the union's membership resulted in a large majority for ending the strike, and normal working was resumed on 8th March. The Post Office and Union of Post Office Workers announced yesterday the membership of the Committee.
