§ 21. Mr. Greville Jannerasked the Secretary of State for Employment how many prosecutions have been initiated under Section 1 of the Contracts of 166W Employment Act, 1963, in each of the years from 1963 to 1970, inclusive, for failure to provide written particulars of the main terms of employment as required by the Act; how many of such prosecutions resulted in convictions; how many in each category related to manufacturing industry; and how many to the retail trades.
§ Mr. BryanI am not aware of any. It was actually Section 5 of the Act that dealt with prosecutions, but this was repealed by the Redundancy Payments Act, 1965.
Industrial tribunals have dealt with cases arising since then.
