§ Mr. Blakerasked the Secretary of State for Social Services how many men and women in Blackpool over the age of 80 years have applied for and been granted a pension under the recent Act.
§ Mr. DeanSeparate figures are not available for the Borough of Blackpool, but up to and including 16th March, 1971, 625 claims were received by our office in Blackpool and 594 awards made under Section 1 of the National Insurance (Old Persons' and Widows' Pensions and Attendance Allowance) Act, 1971.
