§ 54. Mr. Neaveasked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs if he will state the result of his inquiries into the case of Mr. Francis James, believed to be detained by the Chinese People's Republic.
Mr. Anthony BoyleAt the request of the Australian Government, we have raised Mr. James' case with the Chinese authorities in Peking on several occasions. We have been given no information about him. We remain in touch with the Australian Government on this matter.
