HC Deb 22 March 1971 vol 814 c40W
Mr. Faulds

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment (1) if he will institute an inquiry into the dangers of the use of dark glass in cars, details of which have been sent to him; and if he will make a statement;

(2) if he will introduce regulations, in the interests of road safety, to ban the use of dark glass in car windscreens and windows and to set a standard for a light transmission figure, such a figure to be decided upon following research in both laboratory and traffic conditions.
