§ Mr. McBrideasked the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry what has been the effect, in reducing unemployment, in the Swansea, East constituency, of the measures announced by the Chancellor of the Exchequer on 27th October, 1970.
§ Sir J. EdenIt is too early to assess the effect of these measures. But they are designed to encourage the development of competitive and profitable industry and should benefit Swansea.
