HC Deb 18 March 1971 vol 813 cc372-3W
Mr. Leslie Huckfield

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department what proposals he has for the integration of his Department's proposed databank with that of the National Police computer and the Department of Environment's vehicle licensing computer.

Mr. Maudling

I do not know what the hon. Member has in mind in referring to my Department's proposed databank. As regards the computers to which he refers there are no proposals for integration; but in preventing and detecting crime the police rely on access to motor taxation records and a limited amount of relevant information will be stored on the police national computer.
