HC Deb 17 March 1971 vol 813 c339W
65. Mr. Edwin Wainwright

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment if he is aware of the delay to road traffic caused by the level crossings at Manvers Main and Denaby Main on the road from Wath-upon-Dearne to Doncaster; and if he will make a statement on his plans to remove the cause of these delays to the traffic.

Mr. Michael Heseltine

This is a principal road and improvements are a matter for the West Riding County Council as the highway authority. It is preparing a scheme for a bridge at Denaby Main but I cannot yet forecast its priority. I am not aware of any proposal for Manvers Main.
