asked the Secretary of State for Social Services whether he will establish a committee of inquiry into the cost of providing National Health Services facilities for private patients.

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services what is the annual capital cost of providing National Health Service equipment for the use of private patients.

Equipment purchased on capital account is normally used for National Health Service or private patients as required and is not provided specially for private patients.
