Mr. Peter Mills

asked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food whether he will now make a statement about the Eggs Authority's levy in 1971–72.

My right hon. Friends the Secretary of State for the Home Department, the Secretary of State for Scotland and the Secretary of State for Wales and I will shortly lay before Parliament an order under Section 13 of the Agriculture Act, 1970, specifying that the rate of levy in the period 28th March, 1971, to 1st April, 1972, will be 0.16p per dozen eggs. The levy will be raised by deduction from the egg deficiency payments.
