§ Mr. Ian Lloydasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer what he estimates would be the cost to the Inland Revenue of raising the tax-free limit on luncheon vouchers by five new pence, 10 new pence and 15 new pence, respectively.
§ Mr. Patrick JenkinThe tax not charged on luncheon vouchers is estimated to amount to about £5½ million a year. On the assumption that there were no other changes and existing arrangements continued at the higher level, this amount would be increased to some £7¼ million, £9 million, and £11 million respectively if the limit were increased as suggested.
