Mr. Cohenasked the Secretary of State for Social Services how much finance has been made available to the Leeds Regional Hospital Board for the building of new geriatric hospitals since 1964; whether these hospitals have either been completed or are in the course of construction; and what are the dates on which they will be ready for occupation by geriatric patients.
§ Mr. AlisonSince 1966–67, regional hospital boards have been given block capital planning allocations within which to carry out building schemes to meet the needs of their regions in accordance with their assessment of priorities. Leeds Regional Hospital Board has not been allocated finance specifically for geriatric schemes since then. Following are the details of schemes for new geriatric hospital provision in the Region since 1964:
