Mr. Deakins

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services if he will list in the OFFICIAL REPORT those drugs prescribed by the medical profession to National Health Service patients which are addictive in nature.

Mr. Alison

The drugs most likely to cause addiction or dependence are listed in the Second Schedule to the Misuse of Drugs Bill, now before Parliament.
