§ Mr. Deakinsasked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food when he proposes to amend the Agriculture Acts, 1947, and 1957, so as to abolish the system of guaranteed prices for agricultural commodities.
§ Mr. PriorThe interim levy schemes, which the Government propose to introduce, do not require any amendments to the Agriculture Acts, 1947, and 1957.
Further action to change the system of support for agriculture will depend in the first instance on the progress of our application for entry into the European Economic Community.
