asked the Secretary of State for Social Services what proportion of the population of the London Borough of Waltham Forest is of pensionable age; and what are the comparable figures for Greater London Boroughs and Great Britain, respectively.

The Registrar General estimates that at mid-1970 about 17½ per cent. of the population of the London Borough of Waltham Forest were of pensionable age. The comparable figure for both Greater London as a whole and for Great Britain was almost 16 per cent.
