HC Deb 12 March 1971 vol 813 cc197-8W
Mr. Arthur Lewis

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether he will give an assurance that he will take action to prevent officials from his Department from issuing statements to the Press and the British Broadcasting Corporation dealing with a Parliamentary Question on the Order Paper, prior to the Question being asked, and thus circumventing the rights of Members of Parliament to ask Questions.

Mr. Higgins

I have nothing to add to the answer given by my right hon. Friend the Prime Minister to the hon. Member's similar Question yesterday.—[Vol. 813, c.169.]
