Mr. Wallace

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment what plans are in hand or projected for improvement of road communications between Norfolk and the Midlands and between Norfolk and the South-East.

Norfolk's road links with the Midlands will be improved by schemes on A17, A47 and A45; those with the South-East by construction of M11 and by schemes on A10, A11 and A12. The more important are:
