§ Mr. AmeryThe most up to date population projections are those based on the Registrar-General's mid-1969 population estimates and they indicate that the resident population of England and Wales will increase from 48.8 million in mid-1969 to 51.8 million in 1981. Over the same period, my Department 107W estimate that the increase in household formation will be 1.4 million.
