asked the Secretary of State for the Environment what progress has been made by the Building Research Station's new advisory service; and if he will make a statement on this matter.

The B.R.S. Advisory Service was set up in May 1970 for an experimental period of three years. The Service has made a good start and is developing satisfactorily.
