§ 100. Mr. Bruce-Gardyneasked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs if he will specifically exclude from the terms of future cultural exchange programmes with Russia all exhibitions or performances organised and put on in the United Kingdom over which the Russian Government exercises a right of censorship.
§ Mr. Anthony RoyleReferences in the two-yearly Anglo-Soviet Cultural Agreements to exhibitions and performances are of a general nature only. The terms on which they take place in this country are entirely a matter for organisations26W such as the Arts Council which arrange them and it would not, therefore, be possible to do as my hon. Friend suggests.
