asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer if he is satisfied that sufficient use is being made, since 15th February, of the sixpence, and if there are sufficient in active circulation.

Mr. Higgins

It is too soon to draw any conclusions about the extent to which the sixpence is being used or is circulating. There are adequate supplies in the banks to meet the requirements of their customers.
