§ Mr. Pavittasked the Secretary of State for Social Services if he will endeavour to seek an agreement through either the World Health Organisation or the United Nations, to enable drugs which have been licensed for production by the Medicines Commission and satisfied that body's criteria to be accepted for import into other countries without the repetition of clinical, pharmacological and toxicological testing.
§ Sir K. JosephThe World Health Organisation is currently considering principles for drug control, including the establishment of internationally acceptable basic requirements for drug registration. In this study the World Health Organisotion has, of course, the co-operation of the United Kingdom Government, but it is too early to say what proposals will emerge.
