§ Mr. Laurance Reedasked the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry if he is aware of the Storm Surge Warning System operated by the Admiralty on behalf of the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food uses of tidal gauges; and what consideration his Department has given to enlarging this service to provide warning of abnormal tide surges to shipping using the English Channel.
