§ Mr. Pinkasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether he will recommend that banks and public bodies should maintain adequate stocks of the sixpenny piece, the shortage of which is causing inconvenience to people needing them for use in machines which have not yet been converted to take other coins.
§ Mr. HigginsThe banks have adequate supplies of sixpences for those customers who require them. As for public bodies, it is of course for all organisations, public or private, to make their own decisions about their day-to-day transactions.
