Mr. Chichester-Clarkasked the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry whether he will list the local authorities which have successfully undertaken prosecutions under the Trade Descriptions Act, 1968, indicating the number of prosecutions in each year since the passing of the Act. Mr. Ridley: I regret that this information is not readily available, but there have already been over 2,000 prosecutions under the Act.
