HL Deb 04 March 1971 vol 315 c1592WA
LORD OGMORE

asked Her Majesty's Government:

What are their views on the proposed drilling operations and other gold and copper mining prospecting by various British, Canadian and South African Companies in, and immediately adjacent to, the Snowdonia National Park.

THE MINISTER OF STATE, DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH AND SOCIAL SECURITY (LORD ABERDARE)

Where such operations require planning permission, Her Majesty's Government's view is that the proposals must be carefully considered on their individual merits, including their possible effect upon the amenities of the National Park.

House adjourned at eighteen minutes before nine o'clock.
