HC Deb 04 March 1971 vol 812 c530W
Q11. Mr. Clinton Davis

asked the Prime Minister, in view of the widespread unemployment in the United States of America, which is a direct consequence of Her Majesty's Government's action in relation to Rolls-Royce, if he will seek to pay an official visit to the President of the United States of America.

The Prime Minister

I have at present no plans for a further meeting with the President. The present total of 5 million unemployed in the United States is in no way the consequence of any action of Her Majesty's Government.
